Experience you can trust

In-plant rug cleaning is usually recommended for Oriental Rugs and loose woven rugs. In most cases, they should not be cleaned on location like wall to wall carpet. Having your rug cleaned in our plant allows us to give it several treatments for a more thorough cleaning, controlled drying, and the use of various tools that are not available on location.

We will pick your rug up and bring it to our rug cleaning facility where it will receive our very thorough Eight Step Cleaning System to get maximum soil and spot removal.

"But I DON'T want my rugs removed from my home or office?"

It is not always practical to remove rugs from the home or business location. Many of our clients simply do not want their rugs out of their house or office. Some:

  • don't want bare floors
  • maybe visitors are arriving before the rugs can be cleaned and returned
  • sometimes the size of the rug makes transportation impractical
  • and many other reasons

Because we put our client's satisfaction above all else, we approach the situation of each of our customers with an open mind. We know that the circumstances of one's family situation are not the same conditions as the next. We make sure you feel confident in our abilities to effectively handle your Oriental and area rugs.

Not every rug needs in-plant rug cleaning and not every client is willing or able to pay for in-plant rug cleaning. That's why we also offer a very thorough IN HOME or IN OFFICE cleaning that makes sure our customers rugs get the right treatment no matter where they are cleaned.

Our Rug Cleaning Process

Pre-Inspection

Pre-Condition & Spot Treatment

Dusting/dry Soil Removal

We take the time to inspect each rug prior to cleaning. We look for stains, and any worn or damaged areas of concern, that may become problematic during cleaning, and test for dye stability. We also look closely at the fibers of your rugs because wool, silk, cotton, and other specialty fibers all respond differently to cleaning.

Dusting/dry Soil Removal

Some rugs are purposely designed to hide dirt and dry soil. (Eureka Company studies found that a 9x12 rug could hide as much as 87 pounds of particulate soil!)

We use a variety of techniques to 'dust' your rugs from the front to the back. A tool called a pile lifter, special vacuum attachments and other methods are implemented.

Depending on fiber content and soiling type, your rug will be pre-treated to emulsify the soils.

Any potential difficult spots will be treated with special solutions to increase the chances of removal.

The fringe is also pre-treated with specialty fringe cleaner for maximum soil removal.

Post Inspection

Once your rug has been thoroughly cleaned, it is dried flat or hung to dry in a controlled environment. Proper drying is essential to avoid unnatural shrinkage.  When the rug is dry, it is combed and finished with soft groomers made for specialty rugs.
